Don’t be Afraid

on June 9, 2013

2 Timothy 1:7

A fear of spiders is called Arachnophobia.

A fear of sleep is called Hypnophobia.

A fear of flowers is called anthophobia.

A fear of people is called anthrophobia

An intense fear or dread of the pope is called papaphobia.

A fear of having a phobia is called  phobophobia

We can’t point our fingers because we are all afraid of something.  The Spirit of Fear, see through the lens of fear.  keeps you from living.  Healthy fear is what keeps you telling the truth.  Keeps you alive.  God has not given us the spirit of fear.

1.  Don’t be scared of Satin.  You have your truths and I have mine.  Know matter how society changes some things stay the same.  In this life you will have tribulations but God is there for you when you allow God’s power and it deflated Satin’s power.

2.  Don’t be scared of yourself. Reality challenged to be scared of yourself.  A person afraid of rain is like the Pillsbury dough boy being afraid of dough. There is a chance we might fail.  Adam and Eve ate from the tree, Moses let my people go.  He didn’t follow one of God’s promises, David had an affair with Bathsheba and failed.

Our life is like a toddler learning to walk.  But there is somebody there willing to help them up.  God is there to help us up.  God’s love is perfect, God’s love requires us to spread it to other people.  People don’t join gangs just because it’s a gang, they are looking for love.  People don’t stay in failed relationships because they want to but because they want love.

3.  We don’t have to be afraid of stuff.  Essentials are events that shape your destiny.  Sound mind focus on Jesus.  If we take Jesus out of everything it crumbles down.  You are alive, you have food to eat, hope, joy, power.  That’s essential.  We focus on stuff that don’t matter.  Couldn’t learn the letter of the day in school, you let little things stress you out.
