Why Can’t?

Why can’t you hear me?

Am I not loud enough?

Are my words to lightly spoken?

Are you ignoring me?

Did we not connect when your heart stopped beating?

I can still feel the beats

But I can’t find the right place

When night falls I’m locked out of your world

But I can still see your face

All I need is to hold your hand

so the rest can be revealed

From A Distance

I keep hearing this voice,

This voice that sounds so far away yet so close

He sounds hurt, sick and like he’s dying

But I don’t know how to get to him

Or if it’s my place to get to him

I just can’t take the pain he is in that

It’s making me catch-all his tears

So he never has to feel like he is alone.
